Teen Apples To Apples Tournament 
Monday, July 30 at 1:00 pm 
If you think you are good at playing Apples to Apples, come join the competition to see how you match up with other teens! No registration required. For teens entering grades 7 – 12. 

Aquapalooza! 
Tuesday, July 31 at 1:00 pm 
Our annual Aquapalooza event is a summer favorite! Come dressed to get drenched because you will get wet as we have water balloons, kiddy pools, and sprinklers. Bring your own water guns. Permission slip required. For teens entering grades 7 – 12. 

Teen Minute to Win It
Wednesday, August 1 at 1:00 pm
Challenge yourself to one minute challenges such as balancing books on your head as you walk, eating a cookie off of your forehead (no hands!, and writing your name with a marker in between your toes. Register starting July 15.

Safe Sitter Workshop

Friday, August 10 & Saturday, August 11 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

Holy Spirit Health System will be presenting this babysitter training program for ages 11-13. To register call Cheryl Sola at Holy Spirit Health Systems at 763-2427 and leave a message including your name, address, and phone number. A registration packet will be mailed to you. You must attend both sessions to receive a certificate of completion. There is a $30 fee which will include a manual, a messenger bag, and additional supplies. T-shirts and sweatshirts will also be available for purchase. Bring a bag lunch.

Impress your friends and family! You will learn card tricks in this workshop by the professional Mike Rose. Materials will be provided for the tricks you will learn. Registration begins July 9. For teens entering grades 7 – 12. 

Supersize Trouble 
Tuesday, July 24 at 1:00 pm 
Come roll the giant die and be a game piece as we play the classic board game Trouble live! Bring a team of four players or join a team when you get here. Prizes for the winning team! Registration begins July 9. For teens entering grades 7 – 12. 

Video Game Day- Super Smash Brothers Brawl 
Wednesday, July 25 at 1:00 pm 
Super Smash Brothers Brawl will be on the big screen with tournament play. Other systems will be set up around the room with a variety of games. Feel free to bring your handheld systems too! Refreshments provided. No registration required. For teens entering grades 7 – 12.

A Murderous Melodrama - A Murder Mystery 
Monday, July 16 at 1:00 or 3:00 pm 
The male lead in the high school play was found dead at center stage after the final performance. Come investigate the crime scene, examine the evidence, and see if you can determine whodunit. Registration starts July 1. For teens entering grades 7 – 12, register starting July 1. 

Creative Writing Workshop 
Tuesday, July 17 at 2:00 pm 
This creative writing workshop will get you inspired to write in your own voice, your own rhythm, your own language. Learn about yourself and others through creative expression by exploring thoughts, feelings, ideas and fantasy through paper and pen. Presented by Sherrie LeuVay of Real Simple Soul. For teens entering grades 7 – 12, register starting July 1. 

Zumba for Teens 
Wednesday, July 18 at 1:00 pm 
Learn why Zumba is a popular exercise program for all ages! A professional instructor from Art in Motion fitness will guide us through this high energy exercise that includes dance moves of many forms. No dance experience necessary and no registration required. For teens entering grades 7 – 12.

Annual Tie Dye for Teens Monday, June 25 at 1:00 pm Bring your own t-shirt, socks, shirt, whatever. We'll supply everything else. Natural fibers (cotton, rayon, etc) work best. No registration required. For teens entering grades 7 – 12. 

Introduction to Hip Hop Dance Tuesday, June 26 at 1:00 pm Come learn some basic moves of hip hop dance which will be put together to learn an actual routine. You'll learn the moves to a song you will know and can relate to and use later! No registration required. For teens entering grades 7 – 12.

Elementary Game Day Wednesday, June 27 at 1:00 pm - weather permitting Relive your elementary recess days! Join us for kickball, four square, hopscotch, sidewalk chalk and other fun games. This Land is Your Land: Teen Writing Workshop
4 Part workshop- 4 Saturdays January 28th, February 4th, February 11th and February 18th 2 pm to 4 pm

In a world where analysis and left-brain thinking dominates, this creative writing workshop gently guides in the creation of a deeper, more imaginative universe. Where else can you create your own landscape and those who live in it? This workshop supports self-expression and enhances a new way of thinking in today’s hectic pace. As Tramp once said in “Lady and the Tramp:” There’s a big hunk of world down there with no fences around it…..And it’s all ours for the taking…..All ours.” This is exactly the spirit you will find in this fun-filled creative writing workshop presented by Real Simple Soul and Sherrie LeuVay.

Teen Movie: Call for title - PG-13 Sunday, January 29 at 2 pm

Escape the cold weather by joining us to watch a Steven Spielberg Production. After witnessing a mysterious train crash, a group of friends in the summer of 1979 begin noticing strange happenings going around in their small town, and begin to investigate into the creepy phenomenon. Refreshments provided by the Friends of Fredricksen. No registration necessary. For grades 6 -12. MPAA- Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action and violence, language and some drug use.

Teen Craft: Valentine's Day Roses Sunday, February 12 at 2 pm

We will be combining the best parts of Valentine’s Day, roses and chocolate, to make Hershey Kiss roses. We will also be making roses from everyone's favorite material, duct tape! Great gifts for that special someone. For grades 6 – 12 with no registration necessary. Sponsored by Friends of Fredricksen.

Game Day- Unplugged! Sunday, February 26 at 2 pm

Birdie for Books! –Mini Golf @ Fredricksen Library Saturday, February 25 from 10 am to 6 pm

Save the Date! Our 3rd Annual Birdie for Books fundraiser is back again by popular demand! Don’t miss the chance to play 18 holes of miniature golf INSIDE the library and raise money for Fredricksen at the same time. Last year over 400 golfers came to Fredricksen to play our challenging course that meandered throughout both floors of the library, helping us to raise almost $10,000! The course includes sand traps, hazards, menacing greens, and other decorations designed by local high schools students. Our 19th Hole Café will once again be filled with wonderful treats, raffle prizes and food. Last year’s prizes included pool memberships, golf outings, toys, and gift baskets. Don’t miss this fun filled day for the whole family! Hole, Tee and Fairway Sponsorships are available for businesses, organizations and families to support Fredricksen. The library will be open for this unique Mini-Golf fundraiser, but closed for regular library business on Saturday, February 25th.
